NXDN™ Full Rate Support

CML Microcircuits has released a number of updates to its CMX7131/CMX7141 NXDN™ Function Image™ to support NXDN™ Full Rate operation. NXDN™ is an FDMA digital Land Mobile Radio (LMR) open standard and has evolved to become a key narrowband technology in the LMR migration from analogue to digital.

The CMX7131/CMX7141 with its updated NXDN™ Function Image™ adds 12.5kHz operating mode, 9600 bps and CMX994 Direct Conversion Receiver IC support. The majority of the NXDN™ air interface physical layer (layer 1) and data link layer (layer 2) is embedded in the Function Image™ plus a host of advanced features to support the complete radio system and simplify the overall radio design process.

For more information on the NXDN™ Function Image™, visit the CMX7131/CMX7141 product page.

About the CMX7131/CMX7141

The CMX7131 and CMX7141 are half-duplex processor IC platforms built on FirmASIC® technology that are suitable for use in multi-standard digital PMR (dPMR) and dual-mode (analogue/digital) systems. The combination of the CMX7131/CMX7141 and CMX994 enables the highest integration, multi-standard FDMA digital/analogue PMR radio, to be realised.

About the CMX994

The CMX994/CMX994A/CMX994E is a family of direct conversion receiver ICs with PowerTrade™: the ability to dynamically select power vs. performance modes to optimise operating trade-offs. All three devices include a broadband LNA with gain control followed by a high dynamic range, very high IIP2, I/Q demodulator.
