Selective Calling

Selcall Signalling (Selcall)
A method of signalling over a radio system using a sequence of audio tones, usually before the voice siganl is enabled.
A sequence of in-band tones can be used as a target or sending station address, a remote switching command system or a squelch system as well as a method of communicating information. Selcall is used extensively in radio-paging systems.
