Example
The DE6181 is designed to assist in the evaluation of the CMX7141** IC, when loaded
with a relevant Function Image™ (FI) and the CMX618 ICs.
The kit is in the form of a populated PCB comprising CMX7141 and CMX618 ICs and appropriate supporting
components and circuitry. Function Images™ (FI) for dPMR radio designs and other applications are
available from the CML website.
The board is fitted with connectors allowing the DE6181 to be operated with a CML PE0002 Interface Card and associated PC GUI software, or by direct connection between the CMX7141 C-BUS serial port and the user's µC development application or emulation system.
The CMX7141 Function Image™ (FI) can be loaded, on power-up, directly into the on-board target CMX7140
IC using the PE0001 interface or the user's system. Alternatively, it can be pre-loaded, separately,
into the on-board Flash EEPROM for automatic operation on power-up.
The CMX7141 device is specially configured for use on the DE6181 kit and is not available as a production
part. It is capable of demonstrating the operation of any CMX714x product.
The DE6181 board also incorporates all the necessary power-supply regulation facilities for operation from a single 5-volt supply, together with a number of board jumpers to enable various circuit arrangements to be effected.
Note: ** The CMX7140 is a functional (CMX7141) emulation IC for use with this DE6181 DemoKit and is not available as a production IC.
