September 2007

Maldon, Essex- September, 2007 -CML Microcircuits UK Ltd, a leading innovator and provider of low-power semiconductors for Global Wireless and Telecoms markets, today announced its agreement to supply Hyperstone GmbH products.

Hyperstone, the fabless semiconductor and microprocessor Design Company based in Konstanz, Germany, has seen marked growth in its unique design of the unified RISC/DSP processor architecture. Following its success in consumer electronics, Hyperstone expanded its portfolio of RISC/DSP based ICs to serve markets such as Industrial Automation, Building Technology, Security, and Home/Industrial Automation Systems including IP cameras.
Hyperstone has also supplied many millions of flash memory-card controllers to fast growing markets, such as digital cameras and industrial solid state drives (SSD), where they can be found at the heart of approximately 10 million devices.

Following Hyperstone's success, the company now requires an increased focus on sales channeling. CML Microcircuits UK Ltd and Hyperstone GmbH are both part of the CML Microsystems Plc Group, allowing seamless sales distribution and global support to made available to new and existing customers.

Commenting on the agreement, Steffen Allert, Sales Director at Hyperstone said: "Being one of the market leaders for flash memory-card controllers, and an established player within the consumer market for digital multi-media devices, puts Hyperstone in an excellent position for future developments.
The agreement with CML allows Hyperstone products to be taken forward into new markets, increasing our global user base and overall market position". CML Microcircuits UK Ltd will supply the Hyperstone range of RISC/DSP processors along with flash memory-card controllers as of September 2007.
